An Exceptional Artistic Performance

Founded by Bartabas in 2003, the Académie Équestre de Versailles brings together the traditions of French horsemanship, contemporary artistic creation, and a commitment to excellence.

Set within the magnificent Grande Écurie of the Palace of Versailles, originally designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart at the request of Louis XIV, La Voie de l’Écuyère is far more than a display of horsemanship. It is a living artistic repertoire in which classical dressage becomes a language of sensitivity, rhythm, and emotion.

Through approximately twelve artistic tableaux, riders and horses move in harmony, creating a dialogue between movement, light, and music. The performance celebrates the trust between horse and rider, while reflecting the ongoing artistic development of the Academy and its equestrian performers.

The result is an intimate introduction to France’s equestrian heritage, where precision, grace, and contemporary creativity come together in a remarkable historic setting.

Your Private Versailles Experience

Your experience begins with a private chauffeur collecting you from your Paris hotel in a Mercedes-Benz V-Class for a comfortable, direct journey to Versailles.

Upon arrival at the Grande Écurie, enjoy La Voie de l’Écuyère, an approximately one-hour performance choreographed by Bartabas and presented by the Académie Équestre de Versailles.

Following the performance, take time to explore the Grande Écurie at your own pace with a self-guided visit.

At the end of your visit, your private chauffeur will be waiting to take you back to your Paris hotel, allowing you to enjoy the entire experience with ease and without the need to arrange separate transportation.

        The Academy's programme follows a selective performance calendar, primarily on weekends, with additional dates on selected Wednesdays.
